The Middle East is an area where car is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.
But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have actually pressed up the price of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has actually come into sharp focus.
In an area that has one of the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one business is taking advantage of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving lucrative too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
